NGOs, maybe they are and maybe they aren’t.

A US organization claims it is an NGO but it has on its Board of Directors
- a person who currently holds a US federal office, is it an NGO? Not truly.
- a person who yesterday held a US federal office, is it an NGO? Not truly.
- a person who yesterday, until yesterday held a US federal office of some kind for thirty years, is it an NGO? Not truly.
- a person who thirty years ago, held a US federal office of some kind for a year or so is it an NGO? Maybe.
- a person who everyone “knows” is part of the power elite but who doesn’t/didn’t ever hold a US federal office, is it an NGO? I don’t think so.
A US organization claims it is an NGO but gets 60% of its funds from the US government? Is it an NGO? I don’t think so.
A US organization claims it is an NGO but gets 50% of its funds from the US government?
Is it an NGO? I don’t think so.
A US organization claims it is an NGO but gets 10% of its funds from the US government?
Is it an NGO? I don’t think so.
A US organization claims it is an NGO but all contributions to it are tax credits?
Is it an NGO? I don’t think so.
Claiming to be an NGO and being a servant of government interests are two different things.
And a country has the right to know if it is being invaded.
