Today [5 Feb] in 2003 Colin Powell told U.N. Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction and was harboring terrorists. He claims he was “mis-informed” [translation “lied to”] wishing you to think it was an ‘honest’ mistake. Whether he was honestly mistaken or was lying doesn’t much matter as to whether he is credible. It only determines why you shouldn’t believe him because he is A] a liar; or, B] credulous [ having or showing too great a readiness to believe things.] or C] incautious; or, D] easily duped. There’s no good reason to ‘believe’ what he says now [or has said]. He has involvement in the My Lai coverup would be another reason.
